During Covid, I had a former student, now friend, that did “transport”. That means that when a dead body was found, she was dispatched to pick them up and deliver them to funeral homes and morgues.
She took this picture of herself while she was waiting outside the Winter Haven Morgue for a drop off. It took quite awhile since there were so many dead. She said they were stacking the bodies like logs. I wanted to pay tribute to the dedicated healthcare workers struggling to take care of us during this time. That is why she wears a biohazard halo…. because the workers were angels!
