Human/Nature

Human / Nature explores the complex, ever evolving relationship between people and the natural world. Are we separate from nature or inseparable from it? This exhibition invites artists to examine the tension, harmony, and entanglement between what is built and what is grown. Between what is engineered and what is organic.

From landscapes altered by industry to intimate portraits that mirror botanical forms, the works in this show reflect reverence, conflict, dependence, disruption, or renewal. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly: environmental commentary, climate response, body-as-landscape, urban encroachment, ecological restoration, ancestral connections to land, and the quiet poetry of natural systems.

All mediums are welcome - painting, photography, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, installation and mixed media. Whether literal or abstract, each work contributes to a larger conversation about how humanity shapes the earth and how the earth shapes us in return.

This exhibition asks viewers to consider a central question: when we look at nature, are we observing something outside ourselves or are we looking in a mirror?
